- Subpar Roofing Work - - DW - 7/23/2014 - comment
Ability Plus Roofing replaced the roof on our house on approximately 6/20/14. We closed on our house on 6/30/14 and moved in on 7/3/14. (We split the cost of the roof with the sellers)They roof was to be a complete tear-off and replace. Special emphasis was made on repairing the back section of the roof where the sheathing was loose, they were to inspect the plywood sheathing and repair of replace if needed. Upon going up in the attic after moving in, we noticed the plywood was delaminating and warped in the attic area exactly where they we to repair and replace the sheathing. I called Mike at Ability Plus and he sent out an employee who upon review of the area, stated that had he seen the interior of the roof, they would have done corrective measures. That the employee stated that means they never went in the attic to actually correct or review the damaged sheathing area. The employee told me quote,"that this would go nowhere and I would need to contact the owner". I immediately contacted the owner and have had no response. I even enlisted the aide of the realtor (Sherry Francis) who has used this roofer extensively and recommended this roofer. Currently, where the sheathing was to be repaired there are soft spots on the roof. The sheathing is secured and not loose as before, but the plywood is still soft since it was not replaced
