I had a poor experience. There was no communication, dishonest practices, sloppy work, and no help from the office. I’ll run through our problems with the experience first, then go over the timeline. Communication - Crews arriving with no heads up. - Refused to answer any letters not sent certified. - Relied on off-shore collection firm to demand payment without addressing concerns. Dishonest - After agreeing on terms that included regrading roof to allow water to flow freely off, they later claimed the contract didn't say they had to do that. Sloppy Work - Debris all over patio from roof teardown, not cleaned up and now adhered with roofing cement. - Dozens of roofing nails and cigarette butts left all over property. - Huge resin stain on roof with no effort to clean up. Timeline - Early spring 2018: noticed leak in roof. Tore out drywall and got a rep from Alan Kunsman out to assess the roof. It was determined the flat roof was designed poorly and should be regraded to allow water to flow off. Work was scheduled. - June 2018: crew arrives and replaces roof. Following week, there is rain and we inspect the roof to see water left standing in the same spot as before. Contact company and ask that they fix. - Late June 2018: crew arrives unannounced and tears out a section of roof, replacing it without any regrading. Now we have more seams to maintain over the life of the roof. - Aug 2018: receive first invoice with no further communication about issues. Thus begins the saga of trying to get a response from them. Conclusion I recommend investing in a good lawyer to review your contract before you sign it. Keep a budget or set aside your own time to clean up the job site. And expect no communication or help from the company. I ended up paying the full amount since I wanted to be done with it - but please, don't make the same mistake I did. Look elsewhere.
