Contacted Mr. Metzger in an attempt to repair and/or replace my gas Hot Water heater. I expected an estimate for the work. Mr. Metzger informed me that he had spent over 2 hours troubleshooting my hot water heater, determined the cause of the problem, then recommended I purchase a new unit but that he could not install the unit for me in a reasonable time (2-3) days. He then recommended I contact someone else to do the work and issued me a bill for $200.00! He argued with me that he had "earned" the $200.00 even though he could not complete the new install. I was willing to pay him a "reasonable" fee for his estimte, but he insisted his fee was non-negotiable. He departed after an argument leaving my hot water heater disassembled.
