Well all I can say is check his ratings barely a 1 does not know what he is doing. Brings up things then contradicts himself...Picks things apart that do not matter.Stay clear potential home buyers and home owners. Does not give a fair inspection. Good Luck with this one.. Not one good review for either party.

Unprofessional, prejudiced, biased and petty. He will give a meets satisfaction rating but writes comments that make you think your home should be condemned. Wasted time trying to build up his report with know and obvious preventative maintenance tasks such as changing your furnace filter and offering that basements should have a dehumidifier. His reports read as though he works for the buyer the same way a divorce lawyer would work for a wife. His reports should contain only the facts and not his personal opinions. If his intend was to scare buyers away and piss off sellers then he accomplished his goal.

We used to John to inspect a home that we bought four years ago. At the time we thought he did thorough inspection. Upon buying the home we have had numerous issues, all of which should have been disclosed. The biggest hurtle was finding out that we had 2 furnaces loaded with asbetos. Even the people giving us quotes all said that it should have been reported to us during the inspection. He was a nice guy but missed or chose to ignore several issues. I sadly wouldn't recommend him and will not be using him in the future.

John reported that our home had problems that did not exist putting ideas into our buyers minds that even though he had no evidence of his findings that things could go wrong. He actually reported that one specific area needed "immediate attention" even though it was a fake non operational item. He did his client a disservice. Our home is completely updated and well maintained and they walked away from buying our house because of John's "findings". Do yourself a favor and hire a real professional.

Do NOT use this guy! He claims to have 35 years in the trade. He has no clue how to properly inspect a house. Makes useless reports and contradicts himself in the report. I would not trust this guy to feed my dog.

He put so many issues in his report that was speculation on his part of things could go wrong where there was no problem. He reported that our home had problems that did not exist scaring our buyer to back out of buying our home. He actually reported that something needed "immediate attention" when it was a fake non-operational item. He did his client a real disservice by his report. Our home is completely updated and well maintained and he convinced them that they were buying a home that was not up to standards. Do yourself a favor and get a real professional and do not hire John Platz.
