I purchased a system from Oak Grove Heating & Air Conditioning two years ago. My decision to go with them was not based on price. Their price was actually the highest of the three bids I had received. I spent $1,500 more than the next highest bid. I went with them anyway because I bought into the fact that they sold quality equipment and provided better service than the others. After only two years (yes I said two years!), the compressor went out. The part is covered under warranty, but I still have to pay hundreds of dollars to get it back in service. It's not the fact that I have to pay. The issue is that I'm starting to question the quality of their equipment. My neighbor purchased a cheap unit five years ago for a third of the price I paid, and his unit is still going strong. My unit can't even make it past two years! Sounds like I paid a premium price for cheap equipment - at least cheaply made equipment. The installation certainly wasn't cheap. I would have been better off paying a lower price from the beginning. My suggestion for those looking for a new system is to go with the other options. You don't get what you pay for in this case. If nothing runs like a Trane, I guess nothing breaks like a Lennox. If 0 stars were an option, I would rate 0 stars.
