My heating and air unit would stop working whenever the seasons would transfer from summer to winter and vice versa. I contracted with Cook and was informed that the air conditioner main circuit was shortening out which caused the unit to shut down and therefore needed to be replaced. I paid Cook $250.00 on 3 different occasions to fix this problem, only to be told that the best approach was to replace the unit periodically. Also, over the course of time the compressor completely went out. Again, I contracted with and paid Cook $3,500.00 to replace the unit. Subsequently, the unit went out for the 4th time and I contacted another repair company. I was then informed by the new company that my complete unit had malfunctioned and needed to replaced, including the wiring from the compressor to the unit was considered unsafe. Also, the newly installed compressor was considered outdated based on industry standards. The new company installed the unit and it has been working fine since. A lesson learned at a huge cost, but I hope my testimony serves as warning to others.
