Service line broke off main water line to my house. I called around and max was cheapest that got back to me told me $5000-$6000. If he had to hand dig (which he didnt) it would be closer to $6000. But if not it would be $5000. So I gave him $200 cash. Then gave him 2 checks 1 for $2000 and 1 for $4000. Now he says it cost the whole $6200. Even thou he told me it wouldn’t . Says he talked to my daughter about not digging up my flower beds and just pulling pipe out it would be more money and she told him to just go ahead and do it when he NEVER talked to my daughter til he was all done. He talked to me about it and I told him I already moved all rocks and bricks out of way anyway so to just dig up flower bed to make it easier and save me money. Because I am a single mom just trying to make ends meet and this drains my accounts to pay him. Now I have a mess in my basement they left. I have hardly any pressure in my kitchen sink. He says I probably need a new faucet. But city told me it could be my lines under sink need to be cleaned out and him being a plumber he should/could clean them out .
