My husband and I hired Paul to paint our living room and baby's room after coming highly recommended from a friend. His initial response was prompt, he gave us a reasonable price and time frame for when the job would be completed. He showed up the first day and completed all of the patch work and the next two days were supposed to be for painting. The next morning, 30 minutes before he was due to show up he sent a text stating he was sick and wouldn't be coming. The following morning, 10 minutes before he was due to show up, we again received a text message stating he had a injury and would now need to reschedule our job. He gave us a new start date of 3 weeks later and assured us the job would be completed at that time. We contacted him one week prior to the new start date to confirm and he assured us things were on track to be done as scheduled. The night before, my husband contacted him to confirm a time for the next morning with no response. The morning the job was supposed to be started; we waited for Paul and his crew to show up. After an hour of no show/no call we contacted him to find out what was going on. He then informed us that he was having issues with the previous injury and would not be coming again. I completely understand things happen including injuries however the level of unprofessionalism was appalling. No phone call to tell us you're not coming is unacceptable. Not to mention, one week ago everything was all set to go but suddenly the morning of the job there is a problem. My husband and I took time off from work to accommodate the days they would be coming (on both occasions), and gave him the benefit of the doubt that the job would be done the second time as promised. We have now wasted a month of time with a partially started job and need to start over. I can't speak to Paul's work since it was never done but I can say his unprofessionalism is top notch. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time!
