It's been a month and our project is incomplete. We've had him paint before no problems but this was a nightmare. He'd show up around 9:30 and leave before 2pm. He always made sure to knock on the door to tell us he arrived but leave without a peep. The quoted priced always changed in the end to a higher price. He painted our ceiling, no problem but our deck looks sloppy where he didn't tape anything off and missed painting some of the wood in places. He didn't do 2 coats in a screened outdoor porch and some of the paint scrapped up when putting furniture back so now you see the dark brown color from previous stains. The outside color is a BeHR product, he recommended we use BeHR and it looks terrible. Huge scuffs marks. BeHR said they replace the paint for a different product but Mark won't give us receipts to get the money back. He also said he'd restain it for us no charge because he stood by his work and it was his name on the work. He lied. When my husband finally got him on the phone, he hung up on my husband twice! He stopped responding to me weeks ago after I complained to him for dinging my foyer with his ladder. He accused us of going over his head to BeHR to try and fix our problem. He accused us of trying to rip him off when he made me re-write a check 3 times because he wasn't satisfied with how it was written. He was definitely paid and over paid at that! He said he'd repair an outdoor screen for free but whenI brought it to his attention that it wasn't finished, he became mad and did a port job of fixing it. It's not taught and warped. I wasn't even going to repair the screens until he said he could do it and offered. Now we have to pay to have our deck restained and can't get any money back from BeHR to cover our paint cost. He comes off as the nicest guy but he's unprofessional and did not stand by his work.
