I hired him to build a space above my garage. He did bad work, had all sort of code violations - per the city inspectors. We decided as a homeowner that it was not safe to continue with his work and asked him to give us a refund. We had given him $14,000 to date. His response was his ex-girlfriend got into his bank account and used all his money and to sue him and his insurance. Beware- also as a homeowner if the person says he is licensed and bonded. MAKE SURE THE BOND IS OUT OF YOUR COUNTY OTHERWISE THAT BOND ONLY PAYS IN THE COUNTY THAT IT WAS ISSUED.
