I contracted Gilbert to paint my house before I put it up for sale this May. From the beginning Gilbert did everything in his power to do as little work as possible and charge as much as he could. I specifically asked him to remove the cabinets sand them and paint them, he indicated this would be no problem at all. However, when he began working he didn't remove the cabinets to sand or paint he merely rolled paint over them. His prep work is non existent he will paint right over dirt, dust, and anything else. Everything he did was sloppy it was as if I set a preschoolers loose with fingerprint to paint my house. There isn't a single doorknob in my house that doesn't have paint on it. Furthermore, he didn't even get the correct color paint that we had agreed upon when he gave me my bid, and instead of fixing this problem he simply matched all the paint to the wrong color. I'm writing this as a warning to anybody who is considering painting their house, whatever you do, do not use Gilbert Lopez he is a crook, pathological liar, and shotty painter.
