I hired P.A.J.S Services Inc., dba HouseMaster / Phil Avery to do a home inspection for me on 3/13/2017. He claimed to have checked the heat pump but didn’t. My wife was present during the inspection and followed him around. When he came to the thermostat to check the heat and air he left it on the EMR setting. When my wife questioned him about what the EMR setting was he told her it was the heat. We trusted this company to test everything. When we moved in the air wouldn’t work. We had a HVAC company come look at the unit. We was told that there was no way the unit had freon at the time of the inspection because it had a hole in the coils so big it couldn’t hold freon. It has had a bad circuit board that kept the compressor from operating. I have attempted to get the inspector to take responsibility for it but he is refusing. I had to pay for most of the expenses my self and am out $3828.10. I would hate for someone else to use this inspector and get in the same situation I am.
