*** BEWARE-If this helps 1 person from having thr financial stress we went through** I used Mitch in 2020 and was absolutely horrible. Mitch said he arrived an hour before went on the roof and did full inspection which was a LIE as per the previous owners Mitch NEVER WENT ON THE ROOF ( we remained in touch due with them because we had to wrap up CO issue) and cost us $3800 to fix leak & redo roof that was severly damaged .Not to mention having to resheet rock /painting because of all the leaking that was missed in the light fixture. Also did not report the chimney issue in the fireplace there was a major crack in the wall that had to be fixed requiring a full sleeve to be inserted. We also questioned Mitch regarding these issues and he said same thing he said to the others (as per other reviews) he preformed a quality inspection and everyone is lying except him and everyone is trying to make him look bad but obviously he does a good job of that all by himself. Its not slander its just stating the truth. I Would NEVER EVER recommend or use his service again. Its shameful 2 yrs later and still see same complaints SMH

I RECENTLY PURCHASED MY HOME. DURING THE EXCITEMENT OF PURCHASING I MISSED A COUPLE OF THINGS. AFTER MOVING IN I NOTICED A TILTING OF MY 1ST FLOOR HALLWAY. I WENT TO THE BASEMENT AND DISCOVERED AT LEAST 2 VERY CRACKED CEILING JOISTS WHICH IS CAUSING MY ENTIRE 1ST FLOOR TO LEAN TOWARDS THE CENTER. BIG BUCKS TO FIX. I JUST HAD MY CHIMNEY CLEANED TO A WOOD STOVE. AN ENTIRE SUPPORT BACKET THAT HOLDS THE PIPE IN PLACE IS MISSING. ALSO THE GAS CHIMNEY HAS NO LINER. WE ARE TALKING THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS TO FIX. SO DO NOT USE MITCH BLANDA FOR HOME INSPECTION. ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS IS ALSO A NIGHTMARE OF PANELS AND SUB PANELS.I HAVE NO IDEA AS TO WHERE MY MAIN WATER SHUTOFF IS.

My experience using Mitch as an inspector was absolutely amazing. From start to finish, Mitch kept me and my family updated, informed, and very comfortable during the inspection. He is very trustworthy and at no point did I feel like he was unprofessional or inexperienced. Mitch is an expert in his field and was able to catch many things we would not have even thought would have been a problem. Mitch took his time and did not rush the process. For a two family home with a basement, it took about two hours to do the full inspection. I felt very good after the inspection and Mitch made it very enjoyable. On top of being an industry expert, Mitch is also a character and will keep you entertained the entire time. Thank you Mitch for being efficient and great! I will definitely be using Mitch again and also recommending him to all of my friends.

I have referred Mitch Blanda, USA Home Inspection Services to NUMEROUS Buyers AND Sellers over the course of MANY years and NOT one has ever called me and complained about the services Mitch provides. Mitch is there for me and my clients from the initial inspection and if need be, the final walk through (AT NO CHARGE TO ME OR MY CLIENT). I don't EVER think there was a time when I called Mitch during business hours did he let it go to voicemail. He is there for us REALTORS (and many in my office use him) and ALWAYS has our clients best interest at heart. I breathe a sigh of relief when my clients TRUST ME when I refer Mitch and they hire him to inspect the biggest investment they will ever make. I'm not posting this anonymously like some, because I have the guts to stake my reputation in the Services Mitch provides.

I decided to write this review because of the experience that I had with Mitch. He was unbelievable with his knowledge and expertise on homes. He is extremely professional and meticulous which I absolutely love. He went over every square inch of my property and then explained it all to me. He took his time and his inspection was thorough. I appreciate his hard work and dedication to his profession and I would highly recommend Mitch to anyone who needs a home inspector.

Mitch Blanda is a terrible home inspector. If your realtor or anyone suggests using him-definitely do not hire him. This guy is a complete scam artist. We purchased our home 2 years ago and had to replace an entire backyard deck because, as the homeowner's insurance company said, the deck was so dangerous and rotting that it was could not be safely utilized. Mitch never mentioned this during his home inspection. Every single contractor could not believe that a home inspector could miss something so big. We forced to pay $10,000 for an entirely new deck 2 months after we moved in because our homeowner's insurance company wouldn't even insure us if we left the deck as it was. A new recent inspection of our home done by a legitimate inspector has revealed another major issue that should have been caught before we purchased the house-the crawl space is completely rotting from water damage and this beams holding up the house are all rotted through. The new inspector says that this has been like this for years and that our home inspector should have picked up on this right away. When we contacted him about the issue with the deck, he claimed he "did a perfectly satisfactory inspection" which seems to be his go-to defense based on other reviews I've read about him. Do not trust this guy, do not trust a realtor who recommends him. His faulty inspection will cost you more headache and money than you can imagine.

     Mitch Blanda - 8/13/2020 - SO IT TURNS OUT THAT "DO NOT USE" MR. ANONYMOUS IS ACTUALLY KEITH COMTI. A CON MAN FROM BRIGHTWATERS. HE WORKS AT NORTHWELL HEALTH. HIS HUMAN RESOURSE DEPARTMENT WILL BE UNHAPPY TO KNOW HE MOONLIGHTS AS A TROLL. I PERFORMED HIS INSPECTION IN JANUARY OF 2018. IT WAS THE 2ND JOB FOR HIM AND THE 3RD FOR HIS FAMILY. THE DECK HE SPEAKS OF WAS CALLED OUT IN HIS REPORT FOR REPAIR ALONG WITH 30 OTHER ITEMS. HE PURCHASED THE HOME WITH FULL KNOWLEDGE OF THE HOMES DEFECTS. HE TRIED TO CON THE INSURANCE COMPANY IN TO PAYING FOR PRE-EXISTING CONDITIONS. OF COURSE THEY DID NOT. HE IS A LIAR AND A CHEAT. ALSO, AN ANOYMOUS COWARD. I INVITE HIME TO BRING THIS REPORT BEFORE A LEGAL COURT IF HE THINKS HE HAS A CASE. I AM CERTAINLY GOING TO EXPLORE MY LEGAL OPTIONS FOR HIS SLANDER.

     Sabine Jianette - 1/21/2021 - In response to Mr Blandas reply, I just want to clarify that the only error I made in my review was regarding the family room and master bedroom light fixtures not functioning. They are both lights with ceiling fans and I was unaware that the fan and lights were operated on separate switches. My Home Pro.org has my permission to omit that statement from my review. I have documentation and/or witnesses to every other statement in my review. And my mental health is just fine, Mr Blanda, but thank you for your concern. I have snapshotted your allegation insinuating mental illness for my records.

As an investor, I have bought several homes without getting them inspected. Overall, I fared well, but have some regrets. When my daughter was buying her first home, I felt it was very important to make sure everything was in order. She was working on a tight budget and had no room for error. Hiring Mitch was a very wise decision. Even though, I have a lot of experience in buying homes, I missed some costly problems. Not least of which was hidden asbestos and a faulty breaker box. The sellers made concessions on the price and my daughter was able to close. She is delighted with her new home. Mitch was thorough, courteous, professional and a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend him!

I called Mitch Blanda as my real estate agent gave me his card. I called and spoke to his office the lady was super friendly, and answered all questions. I had Made the appointment for the next day. When I arrived at the house Mitch was already there. He explained everything to us on how he goes about the inspection. He walked us around the property as he was already there and took detailed notes. He pointed out and explained everything he noted. We then went into the house Mitch was very detailed in our inspection, explaining, and pointing everything out. He was honest in assessment, and spent a few hours inspecting the house. His attention to detail was amazing. Having use a different inspector 10 years ago I will tell you Mitch was detailed, organized and honest.my wife and I would highly recommend Mitch and we would use him again in a heart beat. I will be giving him name to anyone I know looking at houses. Thank you Mitch!

Was referred to Mr. Blanda for my home inspection in September by Julie Carnivale, the owner of North Landing Realty. We met him at the house for the inspection, and he claimed he had already been there for an hour inspecting the roof and chimneys. He claimed he had actually climbed on the roof to do the inspection and noted that the flashing on one of the chimneys needed repair. Despite supposedly having been on the roof to inspect, he somehow missed that the flashing on BOTH chinneys was coming off, and the one he didn't notice was even visible from the ground. He also incorrectly stated on our report that the home had copper piping throughout, despite the PEX plastic piping being visible without having to move anything or climb anywhere in the utility rooms in the basement as well as the laundry room on the second floor. He missed that light fixtures in the family room and the master bedroom were not working. The listing for the home, which every inspector checks before he even gives the estimate for the inspection, states clearly that the home had a hot tub and inground pool, but he failed to inform us when booking him that he doesn't inspect those. When I called him the week after the inspection to inform him that the three estimates for the roof and chimneys came in between $3500 and $4500, not the "not a big deal" as he had told us it would be to get repaired, I asked for my money back. He stated (15 times) that he does a "quality inspection" and that I could have my money back if I signed a waiver releasing him from any liability. He had already cashed my check within 48 hours of the inspection, so I agreed to sign the waiver. He said he would email it to me. He never did and I never received my money back.
