This man has gotten away with scamming people for the last ten years it seems, how is he still able to do this, as recent as Nov 2019. He was referred by a builder for drawings for in law suit got $3000 deposit, I got the first set of drawings sent them back for adjustments and bam last heard of.      Anonymous user - 3/17/2019 - This man had scammed me and he had taken $1750 and never came back for the job. He stopped picking up my calls and went ghost on me. I have his license copy and all his info (name, address, etc.) which had his address on it I Went in court, so they could deliver the sheriff with a summon for him but it’s all family involved with that did not except the summon refused and said no one by this name is living here. Please contact me and we can go together to court, please look into helping me cause if we do get this man we’ll be saving other people their time and money as well

     Mateusz - 9/18/2018 - I too have just been scammed apparently by Umesh. This is extremely disappointing. i have signed contracts and signed government documents by him. I am trying to go after this guy. Let me know if anyone else is doing the same!

After having many conversations back and forth with Umesh Naik, he eventually came for a site visit and was very persistent about getting his deposit. I can confirm that his current phone number is (571) 352-3761 and email is uscad@yahoo.com. Upon asking him via email for references and certifications we no longer heard from him, which is when I went to research for myself and found this page.

I found this man on Craig's list and he told me that he had received his architectural degree in The Philippines.It was somewhat strange when he came out to the site, he had his wife, daughter and dog wait in his older model Mitsubishi. He listened to my plans and we agreed on him drawing plans for a home I am planning to build.He gave me a two page contract that was very basic and we agreed to the amount of $5000.00 for the entire job.I gave him $1000.00 and we were to meet at my engineers office the following week. He texted a couple hours before the meeting and said he couldn't make it and has not been responding to my calls or emails. As I have read some of these reviews now, I can see that this man is obviously a fraud and scams honest people out of as much as he can.If anyone has had any success with filling suit against him or having him arrested please do let me know. I see that a couple people have posted his date of birth;DOB is 05/01/1956 and his Social Security Number# is 561-67-9577. The address I have for him is 12913 Alton Square,Apt# 116 Herndon, VA 20170 and it seems that his wife's name is Mala. He did mention to me that his daughter is 16 years old and she attends Herndon High School.Based on the fact that the entire family was with him in his car and that he has been evicted from a couple places, I assume he may not have a fixed address at this time.I will post more info as I find out more about him.Please email me at fredfk@aol.com

     Mike B - 1/29/2018 - I read the most recent review for Umesh Niak and the pattern story is very similar, he came to our office last week looked at a small project in a church with us asked for $750 we gave him a downpyment of $300 and never heard from him again. Is there any way we can be protected from scam artists like these?? I'm willing to do my part.

This is by an indian guy Umesh Naik with phone number 5713259741. He claims to be Architect and provide you with design and permit. He is a total fraud and just try to get money from you and will never provide the job completed. Do your research before you hire him for a job.

My Name is Bhavani Gollu and I am from Richmond, VA. This guy named Umesh Naik scammed me. YES plain and simple scammed me. Took half the payment and never heard back. I told him I am coming to his house to collect my money and he texted me immediately saying his brother is not feeling well and he is with him and will send me the check in the next few days. Obviously nice story because I never heard back again. Looks like I am definitely not alone here as Umesh is collecting free checks. I want to press charges. I see that some of you posted his DOB, Address, and SSN. My number is 804 501 8185. Let's file charges together and get him arrested.

Warning to homeowners - Umesh Naik came to my house today, 11 Aug, 2016, promising to provide architectural drawings for my sunroom and pergolas. I wrote a check $600 and he got out in a hurry. Afterwards, I read bad reviews of him online. I called my bank and stopped payment on check. Umesh called me from my bank trying to cash my check. I told him I don't want to do business with him. He didn't deny when I told him I read bad reviews about him online. He got off the phone in a hurry to next fraud victim. His phone # is (571) 325-9741. I have called loudoun county sheriff office, but for them to give me any details, they asked for his data of birth...which unfortunately i donot have.

STAY AWAY! This guy agreed to complete plans for our rehab of a semidetached in Washignton, DC in 2 weeks. His contract value was $3500 to include Engineering and permitting. We gave him $1K down (He asked for more) and then he disappears. I'm tunring this over to the Commonwealths Attorney for a fraud investingation. We do not find him registered with the Department of Professional Regulation in Richmond so we wonder if he really is an Architect or just a CAD operator. Look elsewhere!!!!
