We were referred to Paul Latimer dba Basic Drafting group by our builder, Granato Custom Homes. We started the design process in November 2020, with preliminary plans provided on December 29, 2020. Those were the first and last set of plans we received from Paul. He promised them to us after meeting with him in March, in two to three weeks. I finally had to block my number in the middle of May to get a response from him. Then, we were promised the final plans to be delivered on May 28th. He stopped responding. We called Mark Granato on June 10th and said Paul had 10 days to provide us the plans. On June 23rd after still not receiving any plans and them not being done yet per an email from Paul, we terminated the agreement with Paul. After paying Paul 2,200 dollars, in June, Paul agreed to give us a full refund in exchange for us sending the one set of plans he provided us back. We did and he received them on June 29th. It is now September and although Paul has sent us several emails stating he would refund us our full amount, he still owes us $1,500. Please do your own due diligence on Paul Latimer before paying him any money. The reviews of him and his company all day the same things, and have for years.

He took our money and never delivered the final product. He promised 2 weeks and after 2 months I gave up. He does not care about the clients only when it benefits him. If you research him you will see there are a few people that feel the same way. Do not hire him you will regret it

After paying half of his fee, I had to chase him down (after many many excuses and missed deadlines) and finally received a terrible piece of work that is unuseable. Dealing with Paul has been a frustrating experience and I really wonder if he even has the skills or tools to deliver a quality product. I have asked for my money back and if he doesn't refund, I will have to report him to the Better Business Bureau. Do not hire this person, he has no integrity and no conscience.
     Paul Latimer - 11/14/2016 - These people pay me $300 up front as a retainer fee. To design them a new front elevation for their home. I spend time at their house to measure their home. I also took pictures. And in a week time. Provide them with a preliminary from elevation. They got back to me 2 weeks later. Saying that was not what they were looking for. They were wanted a 3 dimension design to the elevation. We I told them I could not do that, but I could recommend somebody to do that. But it soul extra. They decided not to use my services. They ask for the return of their retainer. But I explain that I had over 4 hour plus printing services into their plan. I was not going to be able to refund their money. I explain I normally charge $100 an hour just for doing preliminaries. So they were not going to get a refund. So this is why they give me a negative review.

Not professional at all, we paid haft up front and did not get any plans. He give us the run around and said he had family problem and had to take care of and many more excuse. I would not recommend Paul if your looking for some one to do your plans he's not reliable and never pick up your call.
     Paul Latimer - 11/14/2016 - I have no idea who these people are. But in 2014 I design over 20 homes & never had a complaint about my work. I don't remember not completing anybody work that year. This review was bought to my attention by a client I did work in 2014. She said she was very happy with me. And just offer me to do a remodel of her home this week. And if there are only 2 bad reviews on this website. And I have been in business for 25 years. I believe that would be acceptable. Even though bad review are not good. I believe I have explain why I believe there should not had been any bad reviews. But everybody can have their opinions. And I have my.
