My home air conditioning system went out, so I called B+D to see what needed to be done. He quickly told me I needed a whole new system and gave me an estimate of $4,000. This turned out to be $1,000 higher than another estimate from another firm. Next I got a bill from B+D for $120 for a service call and bid on replacement. When I called them, I was told the estimate on replacement is free, but the service call was $120. My question is, how could they give me an stimate of replacement costs WITHOUT COMING OUT TO LOOK AT THE SYSTEM? This company's bid was not only 33% higher than their competition, but they WILL CHARGE YOU FOR AN EXTIMATE! BEWARE!!
